However, due to the high speed, wear on parts like flail mallets can be significant—hence the benefit of carbide overlays. Can be produced in 2 different thickness variants, 61 mm thick and 55 mm thick. 61 mm thick has obviously longer lifetime. Features a durable carbide overlay with embedded carbide particles for extended wear resistance.
